 Hello Strikers,

WOW, WHAT A WEEK!

It was an awesome run this last week and we are so very excited to have all of you along with us. We are looking forward to digging in and getting to work on all the details over the next 45 days or so.

British Invasion

So, we did not quite make it to the British Invasion. We are going over all the numbers and we should have answer for you soon as to how we will tackle this. Yes, we would realy like to offer this in backer kit. We just need to make sure it is something we CAN do. If we end up having to push it off we will let you know when it would become available. 

Look for the Dual Powers update coming Tuesday. You do not want to miss that as it will get you the Publisher Expansion for contributing. That update will showcase all the art for that expansion and how it works. 

Eric and I have already begun to get things in order and in normal Talon Strikes Fashion you will have updates coming on a regular basis!

Double Sided Game Board

Funding to 80%

 Hello Strikers,

We past 20k today and we are over 80% funded! 

Welcome to all the new backers! 

Just a quick update tonight to share some information with everyone. We have a few things in the works this weekend and over the next week. 

• Sunday night is the live stream from the board game Spotlight. We really hope to have a good tune out in support of it. The live stream is through Facebook. 
• Monday we are running a contest with BGG on their front page. 
• We have a podcast with a designer interview coming later in the week we will post up the link when it goes live. 

We are excited to fund and hit some awesome stretch goals for the game. We are confident that we will see several before next Friday. Don't forget Jason Hancock and I will live stream next Friday night for the final hour of the project just like we did for King's Champion it was very cool to spend the time with our backers and talk about that game and we hope that this project will have the same kind of awesome vibe for the last hour!

I will add a new Loyalty Reward tomorrow Night! Look for this update it will unlock a really neat upgrade!

Live Stream

Welcome new backers!

So the live stream is moving to Tuesday. It ended up being a better day for it. I know folks were excited for today I was too, so we will have to wait two more days. This is good as Eric is traveling today and will be home by the time the live stream takes place and he and I can be on hand to answer questions during the broadcast.

Do not forget about the double sided board to enhance game play and set up!

Greetings backers,

Let me formally introduce myself. My name is Eric Alvarado and I am the designer of Vinyl. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support in Vinyl and your energy in this campaign. I am truly touched!

Recently on the "Getting Geeky with Gamer Leaf" podcast, I shared a bit about the passion and ideas that brought Vinyl to life. I spoke about the research I conducted by visiting the Looney Tunes record store located in West Babylon, NY along with visiting many other record stores. As a designer, I really wanted a game that oozed in theme and gave the gamers the sense that they were truly shopping in a record store. It has been a wonderful journey to see the game evolve from its original concept of trying to trade up old albums to the current version of assembling record collections. 

There have been so many people to help me bring this game to life and I appreciate all of their help in this journey. For me, the journey is not even close to being over. As I shared in a previous post, I have a laundry list of ideas that I want to explore with Vinyl. Some of these ideas (trade-in counter, top-shelf albums, chart-topper, etc.) are well-formed and will be added to the expansions coming out for this game. Others that are still on the drawing board (personalities, a listening booth, customized gear, etc.) are waiting to see the light of day. As you can imagine, there is so much that can be done with the game. The core was designed to support the future content and provide unique gameplay as components are snapped in.

We cannot wait to get the game into your hands!

Before I close... Tomorrow is another live stream of Vinyl being played. We will post the link for the live stream on the campaign page. Also, Jason will be posting an update tomorrow to get you further involved in Vinyl (hint: it involves your photos). Stay tuned!
