 Hello Strikers,

Just a quick update. We will be charging off Backer kit. The plan was to do this about 8 days ago. I had a few backers contact me and so the charge will be this Friday, July 27th, I apologize for the delay.

Can I still change my address?

Yes, you can log back into backer Kit and update that until the just before we send the final addresses to the Fulfillment company.

Can I still submit art for albums?

No, this window has closed. I would like to thank each and every person hat submitted art for albums. We got a ton of pictures. Some we could not use but several photos are being used thought out the game.

Art?

We are still pushing forward on the art. We have completed many things already and are still focusing on album art. Just to give you an idea of the size and scope of the art for this game there are 74 albums in the base game and each expansion. Not to mention all the art that goes into everything else. It is ALOT of art.

What about the game box?

Ok, so many folks asked about fitting everything into one box. We are working hard to make that happen. It is leaning toward YES! Eric worked really hard to get some things in line for the game so that this can happen. When you own more than 2500 board games, having a box that fits everything is important! (No joke he has that many board games!)

 Printing?

The printer has been working on the minis and before too long, we should have some samples. We are super excited to see how they will look. We are a bit behind due to the size of the art. However, I will continue to keep you updated and push hard to complete the art in a timely manner.

With Gen Con closing in most folks are gearing up for that. I will be participating in Gen Can't this year. I will also be judging a Gen Can't Painting Contest.

Everything is humming along.

This is a short update!

Here are the final band names and their logos. Thank you for all your input and help. 

 Back of the Magazine Card

 As you see more and more art roll out for the game you will see your photos and names. We are cranking on the album art currently. 

Expansion Testing

The expansions have been in serious playtest mode and everything is shaping up tip-top with final tweaks! I have a few more bits of art to complete for the Masters of Metal. in the next update we will post up the differences from the base version and all the final treatment and look of the cards. I will do a giant update down the line with all the album art in it.

Yes, you can still upload art!!!!!!!

I have lots of art, what I am still looking for is photos of you awesome folks. These should be staged and in the proper decade for where you want to be included in the game. If you want them to be considered for the 70s or 80s try to make sure they do not have modern things in them.

 Hello Strikers,

If you have not completed the Backer Kit please do so. There about 150 backers that have not completed this. The Backer Kit is going to charge in July. I will send another update before everything goes through with the day so everyone should be well informed on when the Backer Kit will charge.

We got some great responses and have added them to the game for albums and bands.

British Invasion

The Rolling Bones, Half and Half, The What, Lead Balloon, Pink Fluid and The Scarabs

Masters of Metal

Judean Ingot, Aluminum, Black Smith, Iron Forge

We would like to add parodies for:

AC/DC, Megadeath, or Motorhead, please respond and we really are looking for a play on the band that lends it to metal or blacksmithing. We have some that we have thought up but we are interested in what you may come up with!

Shipping 

We have addressed the shipping and the changes should go into effect this week. If you have already completed your Backer Kit you do not need to go back in. The change is retroactive. This change lowers the cost of the add-ons and multiple game purchases.  We really worked hard to make these changes for backers!

Art

We are moving along on the album art. There is still time to submit pictures or photos if you have not done so yet. In the next update, I will share new art. 

Expansions and Solo Play

We are entering our final round of playtesting for the Expansions. They have really turned out so very awesome. Each expansion has its own flavor and stands alone. Each expansion has new elements and it digs into the feeling for each of them and what the expansions are based on. In the next update, we will seek some folks to help blind test rules. 

The next 2 to 3 weeks will be super busy for us as we continue to lock everything down and complete the final art for each of the expansions. Thank you so very much for your continued support and for your ideas and thoughts. It means so very much to us!

Backer Kit is Live

Backer Kit is Live.

I sent out the email for Backer Kit. I will resend it again this coming weekend to the remaining folks who have not responded yet. 

The late pledge button is up on the Kickstarter Page if you have friends in your game group that missed the Kickstarter you can direct them there.

The Issue with 2 Copies of the Game in your Backer Kit

This is as many backers have guessed in the comments a typo and no one is being charged unless you ordered two. We fixed the issue at some point over the weekend however the fix was not a retro-fix and we have a dialogue started with our representative from Backer Kit to address it.

Fan Pictures

I am excited about all the pictures that have been sent in. If you have not sent any in or you want to send in more, please do so. The restriction has been removed and now you can upload more pictures if you would like. Please remember the art has to be your own art or a photo you took of a non-licensed or copyrighted image or object. If it appears as questionable we will pass on considering it. It could produce legal issues.  

We also have a few questions and other information we would like to collect. The Backers get to name plenty of things in this game like band names and album names. This is a community project and we are excited to put your ideas and such into the game. They can be a parody or something new altogether. We just can not use real band names or real album names for legal reasons.

Finally Shipping

I have spoken with backers about the international shipping. While Talon Strikes does not set the shipping cost, we strive to make you happy as backers and for making our projects possible. I have two inquiries placed that may assist us to possibly lower the cost of international shipping on the expansions. We are doing the very best we can to get the best deal for our backers. 

I will keep you updated as we find out more information.

ORIGINS GAME FAIR

Eric will be at Origins later this month. He will bring the base version of Vinyl and some of the expansion material!. If you are attending he would love to meet backers and play a game of Vinyl! Let us know in the comments if you are attending.
